The 2007-2008 campaigns for Inland Empire United Way reflected the spirit and generosity of the communities served. Contributions in all three service areas total a projected $3,200,000. Combined, close to 304 companies who participated in the campaign. There were seven companies that surpassed $100,000 in employee and corporate contributions; these include United Parcel Service, Kaiser Permanente, Enterprise Rent A Car, State of California, Target, Johnson & Johnson / Biosense Webster, Wells Fargo and Nordstrom.

The IEUW Landmark Society continued to appeal to leadership donors who contributed at levels of $1,000 and more. The IEUW Leadership Gift continued to appeal to donors - with 111 donors contributing at levels of $1,000 and more; contributions from Leadership Givers totaled $151,000.

As a gesture of appreciation, United Way presented this year’s Leadership Gift members with a framed drawing of local landmarks: the Claremont Post Office in Claremont for Pomona Valley/western San Bernardino County and the Redlands Post Office in Redlands for East Valley. All drawings are numbered and signed by the artist, Judy Fields.

In order to reach state employees who participate in their own charitable fundraising campaign, Inland Empire United Way served at the Principal Combined Fund Drive (PCFD) organization. The PCFD organization was responsible for coordinating area-wide state employee charitable campaigns. Collectively, the state of California employees raised $123,633 for the communities served by IEUW.

Ameron International is holding its seventh annual Caring Hearts Golf Tournament in June at the Sierra Lakes Golf Course in Fontana. All proceeds after expenses will benefit Inland Empire United Way. IEUW is appreciative of the $20,000 that was raised during the golf tournament held in June 2007.
