Cash or Check

Please make checks payable to Inland Empire United Way. If you want your gift to benefit to a specific focus area, please write one of the following areas in the memo line: Education, Health, Financial Stability, Volunteerism, 2-1-1, or Challenge for Children. Checks can be mailed to: Inland Empire United Way, 9644 Hermosa Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730.  If you prefer to make a cash gift, please visit us at the same address, M-F, 8am to 5pm and ask to speak with someone from the Resource Development or Finance Department.

Stock

Donating appreciated stock or mutual funds can have several tax benefits. Consult your personal financial or tax advisor to see how a gift of securities can benefit you. To assure efficient processing, please give one month’s notice before making such a gift. Some companies permit employees to contribute restricted stock to United Way. Please check with your benefits office to see if your employer permits restricted stock to be contributed to charity.  Following are two options for making a donation of securities.

Ways to give stock

1.  If you do not have physical possession of the stock certificate, please notify your broker to initiate a broker-to-broker transfer. This will transfer the donated stock from your brokerage account to United Way’s brokerage account. Please call Inland Empire United Way for specific instructions regarding disposition at (909) 980-2857 x225.
2.  If you have physical possession of the actual stock certificate, you may send the unendorsed stock certificate by express, registered or certified mail, return requested to Inland Empire United Way, 9644 Hermosa Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730. At the same time, the executed stock power should be send separately to Inland Empire United Way at the same address. Stock certificates may also be delivered by hand. Copies of the required stock power may be obtained from a bank, broker or United Way.

Planned Giving

Planned gift options include bequests by will, real estate, IRA’s and retirement plans, life insurance and stocks. A planned gift to Inland Empire United Way may even provide financial and tax advantages for you. Your professional advisor can help you determine the best way to make a planned gift. Non-Cash Donations

We rely heavily on donations of appropriate school supplies, food and other products to help make our programs for children and families successful. If your organization or company has new, unused product to donate, please contact our Logistics and Warehouse Supervisor at (909) 980-2857 ext. 234.

Gifts in Honor of a Loved One: Tribute Cards

Tribute cards are great gifts for holidays, anniversaries, birthdays, or any special occasion. You, your friends, and your loved ones can all share in the spirit of giving when you make a financial contribution to Inland Empire United Way in their honor. In return for your donation, Inland Empire United Way sends a personalized card to each recipient in whose name you make the donation. Donate your gift online or send a check according to the instructions above.  Please remember to include the names and addresses of those whom you are making the donation in honor of.
