A call for help
San Bernardino County (September 5, 2007) - If you
have a cell phone on AT&T, you're only a call away from getting
quick help from the Inland Empire United Way. AT&T has been
added to T-Mobile and Sprint as systems whose cell phones get
access to thousands of community services in San Bernardino
County by dialing 2-1-1.
Callers will be referred to the help they need in their area
by bilingual United Way specialists available around the clock.
Nearly 35,000 calls have been received by 2-1-1 San
Bernardino County since the program's launch last September.
San Bernardino County and First 5 San Bernardino provide
funding for 2-1-1 in the county.
