Nonprofit networking

(March 8, 2008) - Local nonprofit professionals are invited to attend the first local meeting for Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN), a nationwide network that works to support future nonprofit and community leaders. This event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 19 at the Cal Poly Pomona - Downtown Center (300 W. Second St., Pomona, CA 91766).

This event is FREE, but donations of hygiene items are encouraged and will be distributed to the Tent City community in Ontario. A light dinner and beverages will be provided. Attendees are asked to RSVP to Allan Collins at acollins@ieuw.org or (909) 980-2857 ext. 243.

“Networking with other nonprofit professionals and sharing resources and ideas will play a large role in this first meeting,” said Allan Collins, Inland Empire United Way Pathways Director. “Local professionals will have a chance to learn together how to strengthen the nonprofit sector, and young people will also be given the opportunity to assume a leadership role in the group to gain experience and build their portfolios.”

Anyone working in or supportive of the nonprofit sector is encouraged to get involved. Membership is free and open to anyone - visit www.inlandempireynpn.org to join!
