U.S. Bank has announced that it will be teaming up with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes to benefit the Inland Empire United Way’s Kids Pack program.
U.S. Bank said that it will donate $50 to the Inland Empire United Way's Kids Pack program every time a Rancho Cucamonga Quakes minor league baseball player hits a home run during the 2010 season.
The Inland Empire United Way Kids Pack program addresses nutritional needs for local kids who have meals provided by schools during the week, but may go without good nutrition on the weekend. The United Way is able to provide a child with a nutritious bag of food for $3.
Historically, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes average about a 100 home runs per year, so it is possible that an estimated 800 children could receive Kids Packs this year, according to U.S. Bank officials.
U.S. Bank has multiple facilities in Rancho Cucamonga including mortgage offices, stand-alone bank branches and facilities within Albertson’s supermarket stores.
