Jerry Sherk, M.A. is President and founder of Mentor Management Systems (MMS), of Encinitas, California. Jerry has a masters in counseling psychology, and he brings much experience gained from providing technical assistance and training to both adult and youth-based mentoring programs. During the past 15 years, Jerry has provided workshops for hundreds of program staff, mentors and mentees, while helping approximately 300 mentoring programs to develop their operating systems, including the U.S. Department of Labor's Prisoner Reentry Initiative .
Join us for an information-packed afternoon focused on evidence-based practices for developing or enhancing an effective mentoring program, including best practices in the areas of volunteer recruitment, screening, training, matching and ongoing monitoring and support. Participants are sure to walk away with concrete tools for strengthening program methods and increasing the impact made in the lives of mentees.
