Inland Empire United Way is pleased to announce that Tech Data Corporation has been named our January 2012 Company of the Month!

Tech Data Corporation is one of the world’s largest Information Technology distributors. The local Tech Data facility, located in Fontana, has supported Inland Empire United Way for many years.

This year, Tech Data’s efforts went above and beyond. Employees participated in a successful school supply drive to support our School Tools program with over 100 brand new supplies donated. Similarly, the Tech Data facility held a food drive to benefit IEUW’s Kids Pack program. IEUW would most like to congratulate the Tech Data team on their recent employee giving campaign. The campaign was a HUGE success, resulting in a 500% increase from the prior year! Tech Data Corporation generously provides associates with a “United Way Day” if they pledge one hour of pay per month. This year, almost 40 associates pledged for the United Way Day and the outcome was tremendous!

We would also like to thank Employee Campaign Coordinator’s Vicki Harmon and Elena Smith for their effort and dedication to this year’s campaign. IEUW is looking forward to working with Tech Data again as many employees have committed to participate in an upcoming volunteer project.
