San Bernardino (May 25, 2007) – Inland Center Mall is hosting the 14th annual Teens Make a Difference Awards Ceremony to recognize more than 589 teens from San Gorgonio, Redlands, San Bernardino, Redlands East Valley, Rancho Cucamonga, Pacific, Fontana, Cajon and Arroyo Valley high schools. The celebration is at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30 at the Inland Center Mall in San Bernardino – Center Court.

"Inland Center created this event to encourage young people to volunteer in their community,” said Terri Relf, Senior Marketing Manager Inland Center Mall. “It has grown from 35 students to nearly 600. We're proud to recognize these high school students who are truly making a difference."

A total of 58,616 hours of service were recorded prior to the event. A total of 589 teens put hours volunteering in local community places such as libraries, hospitals, participating schools and other nonprofit and community based organizations. All students, regardless of the number of hours completed, will be recognized.

This is a joint project with the Inland Center Mall Inland Empire United Way’s Hands On initiative and Arrowhead United Way.
