Inland Empire United Way Announces Gregory Bradbard as President and Chief Executive Officer

INLAND EMPIRE, CA (March 8, 2010) –Inland Empire United Way (IEUW) Board of Directors announce Mr. Gregory Bradbard as President and Chief Executive Officer of the community nonprofit organization. Bradbard comes to the organization with over a decade of experience in leadership, management, fundraising, and programmatic expertise and brings growth-oriented passion to improve the lives of individuals and the community as a whole.

Bradbard will serve as primary liaison for IEUW’s Board of Directors, as IEUW’s primary spokesperson, and provide leadership and management to Inland Empire United Way’s professional staff members in its mission to engage the caring power of communities to make positive, sustainable changes and improve lives, and assist in times of disaster.

“My passion to improve the lives of individuals and the community and the mission of Inland Empire United Way are one and the same, and to be able to give back to the Inland Empire communities I grew up in is very rewarding,” said Bradbard. “Together, we can accomplish some tremendous things for our community.”

“We determined Greg’s skills, experience and passion to be a great fit to lead Inland Empire United Way and engage the community,” said Dan Byrnes, volunteer Co-Board Chair of Inland Empire United Way. “We look forward to many good things to come.”

Before taking the lead as President and Chief Executive Officer at Inland Empire United Way, Bradbard served as CEO/Executive Director at Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Orange County, a nonprofit organization that trains community volunteers to serve as powerful mentors and advocates for severely abused, abandoned and neglected children. During Bradbard’s eight year tenure, the organization became one of the largest CASA programs nationwide.

Prior to CASA, Bradbard was the Executive Director at Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF), an organization that provides financial support and enrichment programs for students of the Irvine Unified School District to ensure music, art, science and technology continue to be provided in schools. Bradbard previously served as Director of Development for Families Forward, an organization devoted to serving low-income and homeless families.

Bradbard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine. He and his wife, Jacquelyn, have two daughters.
