United Way Announces New Volunteer Leadership

2009-2010 Board of Directors to Provide Leadership and Engage the Inland Empire

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (July 8, 2009) – Inland Empire United Way, a nonprofit
organization engaging a caring community to respond to human need, announced Tammy
Chalmers as Board Chair.

Chalmers is the Chief Financial Officer and Training/Education Specialist of Crime Scene
Steri-Clean, LLC, which is the industry leader for biohazard services. Ms. Chalmers has
over 14 years of exclusive expertise in the Hoarding and Biohazard Industry. She also
holds dual Certification and licenses as a Trauma Scene Waste Practitioner and Blood
Borne/Air Borne Pathogens Instructor. As a passionate educator and remarkable keynote
speaker, Tammy Chalmers is constantly sought after and contracted by law enforcement,
city, government and non-profit agencies. Her company has been awarded the “Community Service Award” by the United States Congress, California Assembly and California Victims
Assistance Program.

In addition, Ms. Chalmers believes very strongly in reaching out to the community through volunteer work and serves on several local Boards. She has recently served as a chairperson for the Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Orange County and LA County Task Forces on Hoarding.

As appeals continue to escalate, Ms. Chalmers dedicates innumerable energy and countless hours sharing her unique and highly sought expertise through lectures, classes and workshops throughout the country. Tammy’s innovative strategies on Hoarding Intervention, Communication and Guidelines lead her to create the First successful inter-agency model. This model is revolutionizing new industry standards and institutionalizing the multi-disciplinary response to hoarding concerns.

Tammy Chalmers resides in the beautiful city of Rancho Cucamonga with her wonderful Husband, Cory Chalmers. In addition to his full time career as an active Fire Captain, Cory is also Tammy’s business partner and together, they have 3 fantastic teenagers.
